Hello Professionals,
Once you installed a newly installed vcenter 6 in your infrastructure, and most of time it ask for latest update for Adobe Flash Player and it works.
But in my case with Windows 2012R2 and 2008R2 it was not loading after updating the latest Adobe Flash player.
Issue: vmware vsphere 6 web client not opening
Resolution:
Run the below power shell command with administrator privilege
Install-WindowsFeature Desktop-Experience
it will take some 5-10 min to add the feature. Basically we are adding desktop experience feature to Windows 2012R2 and 2008R2 server.That you can add from Server Manager too.
Once Reboot, Below are the steps for 2012R2 and 2008R2 servers
1. If you are accessing the vsphere web client from 2012R2 server
a.download and install Patch for KB2974008
b. Then install Flash Player
Then Reboot the server.
2. If you are accessing from Windows 2008R2 server
a. Install the Flash Player
Once server is up access the web vsphere clientURL: https://VCENTERIP OR FQDN:9443/vsphere-client.
